Anal mele (cover version)

Thought my son Ayush's serene face (while sleeping) might suit the theme of the song, but he's far from anything serene.. so just a hope, let's say :)

So, finally, getting to do a request from quite a few audiobloggers and a couple of my friends.

Song by HJ, only difference is minimal orchestration, with Sudha Raghunathan as the lead vocalist, and not Bombay Jayashree. Nothing special about the song per se, simple song and nice lyrics for a change. Have always liked this song from the beginning, but had pretty strong requests not to do it, from a few men folk I know. Dilly dallied for a while, then, couldn't ignore the requests for this song from the female clan :-) So, here it is!

This song specifically goes out to Ramaa and Shobana TR. Thanks guys, for requesting this song and trusting me with it, more than anything :)

Hope you enjoy listening to this. Thanks in advance

Song: Anal mele

A perfect song for your range and voice. sung beautifully..A few things I noticed is that in the beginning there is a slight pitch out when u sing "Urakkangal uraipaniye" in the word 'Uraipaniye'. Then I felt like a few places could have been better. Done pretty well..

Meera, I heard this just to listen to ur voice and ur improvisations which were interesting. I wud also join those folks who recommended you not to do this. Lot of other better songs await ur voice.

Btw, Ayush was so cute. As I was listening to ur song I saw my son behind smiling at ayush's pic n saying paaapa.

I liked this rendition of yours very much meera :).At someplaces I liked it very much when u separate ival-ini all that was really nice. But I think the lyrics has no "YE" to it.ie uraipani, mazhaithuli only. After charanam whr you have again taken the pallavi it sounded more classical at some places.romba azhuthama padirukenga.Nanna irundudhu:).I would love to present recordings like yours.

I landed up seeing this song only today - I know I am very prompt with everything! Loved this song, and then Sri told me you sang it, so stopped by to listen from my favorite artist.

Excellent job as usual. Ayushi's pic look awesome.

A perfect song considering your voice and range. The lyrics does not have "YE" to it when urakangal uraipani in the first charanam. Though, there were some places which sounded like Carnatic music in places. And please for God's sake, don't lie about Ayush on the blog. He looks very serene. Very pleasant to hear :D. Keep up the good work!!
