The essence of dhwani....

Famed music director of the yesteryears Naushad at his very best in this number. In the original, KJY's haunting hindustani style was matched up by the subtly sad yet yearning filled voice of P.Susheela. An amazingly lingering number....

Movie: Dhwani
Music by: Naushad
Originally rendered by KJY & P.Susheela
Sung by Jo & Meera Manohar

Amazing.... Loved it a lot.... Jo and meera... u are making a splendid combo.. i also wondered about the karaoke... where do you guys get such high quality karaokes... that made the song more enjoyable....

Loved both of your renditions....

Jo:

What to say..You seem to get better everyday. The rendition is smooth as a baby's skin. There are apparently no off-scale notes. Your voice qaulifies for a recording studio.

Meera:

There is nothing wrong in your singing, but I sincerely feel you must rest your throat for somedays. I have a strange feeling that your inherent melodic stregnth is getting lost coz of your jaded throat. You must allow it to fully recover, so that we can ge to hear stuff like "ninaiththu ninaiththu". Technically there are no mistakes. IT is just that, the 'timbre' of your seems missing. I am sure it will come back if u give your voice ample rest (No talking :) ) Also, in this song, Susheela's portion plays only a second fiddle to KJY's.

Very good choice of song. Very pleasantly rendered by both of you.

This song just doesn't want to get out of my heart...Is it the tune, the music, your voices or what..I don't know..!! I am wondering what feeling I'll have if I knew 'Malayalam'. Hmm...

AP, has a note in Meera's blog and I have the same question - Where do you get such karaokes..amazing.!!

Your voices and your singing..is wonderful as usual. Meera IMHO..this tops your list!

Alrite Jo ! I'll listen to u on the silver screen budd !!! Cya there !

Meera i like your fighting spirit and never-say-quit attitude even with ur convalescing throat. You might wanna give it some rest ! Reminds me of the lead singer Adam Duritz of the Alt rock/pop band phenom "The Counting crows"...am pasting a part of the text from the band's FAQ site...

What's the deal with Adam's throat?

Adam tries to take care of his throat. He is very emotional on stage and sometimes loses his head. He intentially kept the sets short at the beginning of the tour so his voice wouldn't go. On the last tour, the band had to cancel some gigs, because Adam's voice fell apart.

Am not wishing one for you....take care...Alrite enuf of my preaching :D

AWESOME JOB GUYS ! YOU MADE MY THURSDAY MORNING A PLEASANT ONE !!
