Ninaithu- Shreya Ghosal at her best

This was my first post almost 3 years ago, but sans K-track though. Found this somewhere quite a while ago, and I  just, just couldn't resist the awesome K-track , so here it is.. encore

Probably one of the slow ballads of Yuvan Shankar Raja's that has managed to stay on my mind for quite a while now. Pity it didn't get featured in the movie. Female version is by Shreya and I think she has done an amazing job on it. Somehow, the male version by KK somehow didn't impress me that much, which is very surprising since I think KK rocks in similar songs.

This K-track starts with one of the most beautiful instrumental pieces which was featured in the movie. Following that comes the actual song..

Dedicated to my better half.... for his upcoming birthday! Advance Happy Birthday, Manu :)

Movie: 7G rainbow colony
Music by: Yuvan Shankar Raja
originally sung by: Shreya Ghosal
Cover version by: Meera Manohar

HI Meera ,
Really really liked the singing. liked your feel , little nuances, ... except i found the voice to be a little dry and had little pops here and there. But nothing to blame you. Probably the mics and mix... But awesome singing. Keep us posted..

Aahhh Meera... enna sollardhu! One of ur best! I love the restraint in the voice! And I wish to make another specific comment: singing apart, thamizh itself seems to sound more beautiful when u sing it :)

That was mesmerizing, Meera! You really felt the song's depth as you were singing and that brought out the beauty of the song.

Wow! :)

I felt, this was better than the original, especially in terms of pronunciation.

Whenever I heard the original, 'unnul vaazhgiraen' (as against 'unnuL') and other such mispronunciation instances have made me go aarrrggghhh! But, in your rendition, while the melodic qualities of the original have been retained intact, the pronunciation part has been bettered!

Thank you for singing this. Now I know where to go to listen to this song sans its mispronunciation instances! :)

That was very good, but some of your other songs have been better than this IMHO.. Hoping to hear more from you!

BLS V5 song was very well done, congratulations!

Wow Meera! you are the Shreya Goshal alike in this song. Like Sindhuja said your tamil is very soothing and melodious to the ears. Expecting more such melodies form you.

Do also listen and comment on my latest rendition Ennulle Ennulle from Valli.

Tamil was more "Tamilish" in your version compared to the original :-)...Lovely rendition...i cannot stop listening to it...one small suggestion, if i may...closing notes need more attention...if i have to point out one area of improvement, it would be that...otherwise, it is complete...you seem to have taken care of the minute variations (nunukkams)...that is a rare quality and mostly natural...keep it going...like i said earlier, you inspire me to sing...all the best and my best wishes to Manu
