Hey Meera, that is a superb song and you've sung it so beautifully! Way to go! Please keep posting more songs.
very nice job indeed..we performed this song last year for tamil new year here...nice rendition..look forward to more stuff here
Good effort Meera.
Few things, I believe would help.
1. Pallavi sounds very flat.
2. Gets better in the Charanam, but fails to get the higher reaches.
3. Tempo is very slow and wavers quite a bit throughout the length.
4. If you are not already using one, I strongly recommend a timing device to maintain rhythm and tempo.
Keep posting more.
Jo-- thanks
Anup--*bows*, how did your song turn out on stage??
PA- thnx a ton for your pointers. I shall definitely keep it in mind.
For a lay man (ME!) it sounded fabulous! Can't wait till the next posting

Meera,
It is very impressive that you have sung this song without any music. Nice voice and expression. It is good to hear someone who knows tamil sing tamil songs for a change. Simply superb.

Meera,
Great rendering and a beautiful voice.
Perhaps had you sung the song in GMaj, you would have done a better job than the original singer.

I always think there got to be some IR contribution in this song.
Hi Meera, I am a maharashtrian guy. Today first time I listened to the song "Ninaithu Ninaithu" only because it was present at my companies server, and nowadays I listen tamil songs for good music.. Came back to my flat and felt like listening it again. started listening it on Raaga and suddenly tears started rolling down like never before though I dint understand a single word of Tamil, but feelings came out instantly. there's something about this song. I need to know the meaning of those words and the theme of song. Searched a lot on net but din't got meaning of it in hindi or english... then came to your blog... Please help me.
I must admit you have sung it very well !!!!
